A small shop that holds its own stock

RideWatt sells fat-tyre electric bikes in the UK. We are a young company and a small one, so rather than ask you to take that on faith, here is exactly how we operate.

Our bikes are held in stock, not shipped from overseas when you order. That is why a bike marked in stock reaches you in two to four working days rather than a month. Where a colour is not in stock, the product page says so and gives the real lead time, so “In stock” on this site means a bike we can dispatch, not a badge.

We are candid about what we are: a retailer, not a manufacturer. The bikes are built by an established manufacturer with a substantial international operation, and come with their 2-year warranty behind our own obligations to you under UK consumer law.

The one thing we are unusually strict about is road-legal status. UK law caps an electrically assisted pedal cycle at 250W with assistance stopping at 25km/h. Plenty of shops sell 750W bikes advertised at 45km/h without mentioning that riding one on a public road is an offence. We label every bike before we price it, and we will not describe an off-road bike as road legal to make a sale.
